Every student I work with gets the benefit of a master-level accompanist — that’s me! I bring LIVE piano accompaniment into every voice lesson, rehearsal, or session, and it makes a huge difference in how confident and supported my students feel.
For singers, it’s like having an ever present musical partner who’s right there with you — adjusting in real time, lifting you up, and helping you stay grounded and expressive. For pianists, playing duets together helps you hear what’s possible when you stick with it and opens up a whole new layer of musicianship.
There’s real magic in making music with someone — and I love creating that magic with my students.
About Midge
Midge is a professional accompanist, pianist, vocal coach, teacher, and musical director. She has (gulp!) over 37 years teaching experience. It all started at college earning her degrees in Piano Performance & Accompanying and Coaching.
Her passion is to bring joy to others through music! She teaches private piano and voice, directs and performs musicals, and plays for her local church. She is an enthusiastic lifelong learner and has completed her 5 year Certification utilizing the Alexander Technique for vocalist.
Currently she lives with the love of her life, Reed, and their five kitties in Conroe, Texas

What age groups does Music by Midge cater to?
I do offer lessons to students of all ages, from young children to adults.
Can I switch to voice lessons or piano lessons once I start?
Absolutely! I'm flexible and we can do both or combinations in between.
Do you offer any kind of recital or performance opportunities
Yes, I put together several "jam sessions" throughout the year, where students can show off what they have learned!
